friends for life blossom

Friends for Life Blossom was inspired by my friend Katy Quinn Powers who I met when I was in 9th grade. We had absolutely nothing in common as she was a serious accomplished student, and I wasn’t. Katie was a year ahead of me in school and our interactions were limited to the one thing that created the framework for our friendship, Student Council. Like everything else, Katy took Student Council seriously and I was there for the fun. The thing that eventually connected us was our amazing experiences at the Oklahoma Association of Student Councils summer camps in Tahlequah. Its hard to believe that those days were so long ago and even though we don’t see each other often its like we just saw each other the day before. Katy is amazing and has excelled in everything that she has done including being my friend. Katy has been there through good times and bad and good again. At times she has been more mentor than friend, but I know that no matter where I am or how many years have gone by, she will be my friend for life.
