Boudicca Blossom was inspired by my fierce redheaded friend Carrie Hulsey Greene who is a fierce lioness as Boudicca was once described. Carrie is sometimes blunt but always honest. She is incredibly smart and wonderfully thoughtful. Carrie has experienced a lot in her life both triumph and tragedy which all inform her insightful wisdom. She has an enormous heart and has made a career of helping and guiding others both in her journalistic career and her current career in higher education. She was a bit intimidating when I first met her in Leadership Oklahoma, but we quickly became friends. Carrie has been a wonderful friend to Blossom and I since our LOK year and even though we don’t see her as often as we would like she is one of those amazing people who I know that we can call upon any time for help and guidance. When I need someone to lead a rebellion against those who are oppressing me, she will be the first person I call.
